JOB SUMMARY: 
 
The Training Manager delivers world-class training experiences that empower those supporting individuals with complex communication needs to live their best lives- communicating, engaged and actively participating in life.
 
The Training manager will devise the organizational training strategy, oversee and participate in it implementation and access its outcomes and build awareness, brand loyalty and revenue.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/COMPETENCIES: 
 
·        Manage Training and Implementation Team projects and productivity
  • Deliver current programs at full capacity to impact sales
  • Assess current state both market and internal needs analysis
  • Align with strategic business objectives
  • Utilize KPIs to measure effectiveness/business impact
  • Determine continuance of existing programs and new programs to be developed
  • Streamline operations
  • Supporting those that support the customer
  • Determine next generation programs and delivery
  • Conduct ongoing performance appraisals for Training and Implementation Specialists
  • Responsible for the budget and costs of planned programs, travel expenses, personnel and keeping within budget
  • Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices
  • Monitor and evaluate training program’s effectiveness, success and ROI periodically and report on them
  • Conduct effective induction and orientation sessions
  • Track record in designing and executing successful training programs
  • Excellent team-building, organization and leadership skills
  • Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization
 
·        On-going communication and reporting to senior management regarding:
  • ASHA CEU program
  • Training programs (e.g., Implementation Workshops, Discovery Lab, etc.)
  • Webinars
  • Budget
  • Team productivity (e.g., KPIs)

  • Strong report writing and record keeping ability
 
·        Develop and manage new product launches from a training perspective
  • Coordinate with Product Management and sales to ensure that all training needs are captured
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Content team to collect necessary information regarding strategy, concepts, etc.
  • Collaborate with Marketing/Sales to ensure the product "story" is consistent and across all training materials
  • Support and consultation, as needed

·        Coordinate new employee training program (with Human Resources)
  • Keep up to date with developments in training by reading relevant journals, attending meetings and relevant courses
  • Research and implement new and innovative way to deliver web-based training
  • Understanding of e-learning techniques, and where relevant, being involved in the creation and/or delivery of e-learning packages
  • Manage and coordinate all Implementation Workshops
·        Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on the job or classroom training, e learning, workshops and simulations)
  • Training materials development including manuals, tutorials and videos

  • Identify and develop additional revenue generating opportunities
 
·        Training consultation including (but not limited to):
  • Helping managers and trainers solve specific training problems for customers
  • Customer consultation

·        Manage ASHA CEU program to ensure that compliance is met with all ASHA standards
  • Support Sales Reps to deliver ASHA CEU events in their territories.
  • Collaborate with outside agencies to deliver cooperative CEU offerings.
 
LEADERSHIP / TRAINING MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE:
  • Proven work experience as a training manager of remote team
  • Track record in designing and executing successful training programs
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc.)
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Strong report writing and record keeping ability
  • BS degree or related experience in special education
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS: 
  • BS degree required along with or related experience in Special Education or Speech Language Pathology preferred
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • 3 Years of classroom or clinical experience
